Salón Gourmets, Spain’s leading showcase for quality foods, promotes agri-food internationalization through its Hosted Buyers Programme with ICEX and MAPA under “Spain Food Nation”.

With more than half of its exhibition space already sold six months before the event, the world’s leading International Fine Food and Beverage Fair will once again become the meeting point for premium national and international products. The fair will take place from April 13 to 16 at IFEMA Madrid, across six exhibition halls.

Year after year, Salón Gourmets not only stands out as the most comprehensive showcase of high-quality Spanish products but also reinforces its commitment to the internationalization of the agri-food sector. To this end, it offers exhibitors free access to the Hosted Buyers Program, organized in collaboration with ICEX and MAPA under the Spain Food Nation initiative. This program connects SG exhibitors with international buyers from all five continents.

Exhibiting companies interested in exporting their products can take advantage of this complimentary service, which allows them to schedule meetings with compatible buyers, choosing the day and time that best suits their needs and creating a personalized agenda.

Year after year, Salón Gourmets confirms its status as the world’s leading Fine Food and Beverages Fair, a must-attend event where innovation, quality, and international connection define every edition. Renowned chefs, buyers, and professionals praise its exceptional organization, impressive scale, and the diversity of premium products on display. For Martín Berasategui, it is “a one-of-a-kind event that has made history in gastronomy,” while Elena Arzak calls it “a master’s course in innovation.” Visitors highlight its professional atmosphere and seamless logistics, describing it as “one of the most well-organized trade shows in Europe,” where “around every corner there’s something new and exciting.” The Business Center also stands out, with thousands of meetings connecting exhibitors and international importers, offering “a quick and efficient match for suppliers.” From acclaimed chefs like Mario Sandoval, Pepe Solla, and Paco Pérez to global buyers from Selfridges, Monsieur Marcel, and Macroscopic, all agree that Salón Gourmets is more than a fair — it is a celebration of excellence, creativity, and the passion that drives the world of gastronomy.

How are the most suitable buyers selected for exhibitors?

Through a meticulous selection process, the organizers identify and invite the most relevant buyers. To streamline this process, they have developed the SG Matchmaking web application, which helps international buyers connect with exhibitors that match their preferences and business needs through B2B meetings. This platform ensures more efficient appointments and increases the likelihood of successful business deals for both parties.

During the four days of Salón Gourmets, the organization provides an exclusive area for these meetings — the Business Center — equipped with private meeting rooms and free translation and interpretation services. Additionally, invited buyers enjoy complimentary hotel accommodations in Madrid, round-trip flights, transportation to IFEMA, and entrance to Salón Gourmets — all covered by the organizers.

In its latest edition, the Business Center hosted 300 buyers from 90 countries, who participated in over 6,500 meetings. In total, 19,264 foreign buyers attended the fair.

These four days offer an unparalleled opportunity to explore industry trends, secure commercial agreements, and discover outstanding national and international products — all in the world’s premier meeting point for high-quality food and beverages.
